Kick-Off Rally TONIGHT! Bishop Morlino, Steve Koob of One More Soul, Fr. Rick Heilman Will Inspire Us!

As we begin 40 Days for Life today, let us offer up this prayer:

Lord, we ask for the strength, courage, wisdom, determination and stamina to carry out this mission according to Your will.

Guide us, we pray, as we go forth and proclaim Your truth, always doing so with a spirit of love and compassion, as was demonstrated to us through the work of Your Son, Jesus Christ. In His name we pray, amen.

Don't miss the Kick-Off Rally tonight!  We are blessed to have Bishop Morlino coming to inspire us as well as Father Rick Heilman.
An added last minute surprise:  Steve Koob, the head of One More Soul, an apostolate which is pro-life and anti-contraception, will attend and tell us about this organization.

Come at 6:00 p.m. for fellowship at St. Mary's Church in Pine Bluff (3673 County Road P - From Madison, go west on Mineral Point Road and turn left on P).  Dinner will be served at 6:30pm. If possible, please bring a side dish or dessert to pass. Visit the beautiful Rosary Garden dedicated to the preborn!

Although hours are filled today and tomorrow, we have urgent needs for Friday, Saturday, Sunday!

True, a 24/7 campaign is difficult, as you can see, but the blessings that come from this level of sacrifice are indescribable. Keep the faith! Prayer Countdown - 2 Days until 40 Days

Let us prepare ourselves in prayer for the start of 40 Days for Life (in 2 days!), asking for the Holy Spirit to inspire and strengthen us!

Let us pray,

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Bend the stubborn heart and will, melt the frozen, warm the chill. Guide the steps that go astray!

Come, O Spirit of Wisdom, and reveal to my soul the mysteries of heavenly things, their exceeding greatness, power and beauty. Teach me to love them above and beyond all the passing joys and satisfactions of earth. Help me to attain them and possess them for ever. Amen.

Emergency - Call to Action!

Dear Prayer Warriors,

This is your call to action!  We need you to sign up for hours now or 40 Days for Life will be in jeopardy.  Wednesday's hours are filled but not without hard work and sacrifice.  Vigil captains spent their Sunday on the phone making many calls and leaving many messages.

Some of our prayer warriors committed to 3 or 4 hours at a time to ensure hours were filled!  We thank all who signed up and ask those with phone messages to respond.  We need all of you to go to vigilforlife.org and sign up!

Things are just not coming together right now and, if we don't get some hours filled soon, we'll have to reassess our campaign. Now is the time to look at your calendar and your schedule.  40 Days for Life requires sacrifice by many, not just a few; please don't sit back and let somebody else do it!

We need your immediate response:

THURSDAY, SEPT. 27:  There are 15 hours OPEN!
FRIDAY, SEPT. 28:  There are 25  Spots to fill!

These are just too many hours for vigil captains to handle and the weekend doesn't look much better!
"Could you not spend one hour with Me?"

Go to vigilforlife.org/calendar/monthview or contact info@vigilforlife.org to sign up now!

God bless you!

Prayer Countdown - 3 Days until 40 Days and Too Many Open Hours!

Let us prepare ourselves in prayer for the start of 40 Days for Life (in 3 days!), asking for the Holy Spirit to inspire and strengthen us!

Let us pray,

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Heal our wounds--our strength renew; On our dryness pour Thy dew, Wash the stains of guilt away.

Come, O Spirit of Counsel, help and guide me in all my ways, that I may always do Thy holy will. Incline my heart to that which is good; turn it away from all that is evil, and direct me by the straight path of Thy commandments to that goal of eternal life for which I long.

Dear Friends,

The start date of 40 Days for Life is only 3 days from now and we have way too many hours  open at this stage of the campaign....As you attend Mass this morning, pray for the success of this prayer vigil, that we get enough volunteers to fill the nearly 2000 hours of prayer on the sidewalk.  Looking at the week ahead, we're concerned....

Wednesday, Sept. 26, there are 8 open hours!
Thursday, Sept. 27, 27 prayer warriors are needed!

Please help now!  Go to vigilforlife.org/calendar/monthview to sign up for hours.  You can also contact info@vigilforlife.org.  God bless you for answering this request for your sacrifice!

Reminder: 40 Days for Life Kick-Off Rally next Wed. evening, Sept. 26!

Prayer Countdown - 6 Days until 40 Days for Life and Another Abortion Center Closed!

Let us prepare ourselves in prayer for the start of 40 Days for Life (in 6 days!), asking for the Holy Spirit to inspire and strengthen us!
Let us pray,

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Thou in toil art comfort sweet, Pleasant coolness in the heat, solace in the midst of woe.

Come, O Blessed Spirit of Fortitude, uphold my soul in time of trouble and adversity, sustain my efforts after holiness, strengthen my weakness, give me courage against all the assaults of my enemies, that I may never be overcome and separated from Thee, my God and greatest Good. Amen.

Another Abortion Center Closed!

Dear Friends,

The following message from Shawn Carney, the national campaign director for 40 Days for Life, shows what your involvement can do.... locally - here in Madison.  With God all things are possible and, with the phenomenal growth of this vigil, Planned Parenthood in Madison will close its doors too!  It's a matter of time....

The next 40 Days for Life campaign is going to be a record-breaker!

From next Wednesday, September 26, through November 4,
40-day campaigns of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil
and community outreach will be held in ...

  ... 316 locations ...

... all across the United States (49 states and the
District of Columbia) plus Canada, England, Spain,
Australia and Uganda -- our first African campaign!

More than 40 of these locations are launching their
FIRST-EVER 40 Days for Life campaigns.

This is already exciting, but there's NEWS to report
... that shows what could happen over the course of
these 40 days in YOUR community.

Another abortion center where 40 Days for Life vigils
have been conducted has gone out of business and CLOSED!

In Knoxville, Tennessee, the local 40 Days for Life
team confirmed that the owner of the abortion center
  just shut down this facility.

This now makes TWENTY-FOUR abortion centers where
40 Days for Life vigils have taken place that are
  now totally shut down.

  To God be the glory!

People prayed -- humbly and diligently -- in front of
that abortion location for YEARS. This is proof once
again that prayer works ... and that God listens!

If you've not taken part in 40 Days for Life before,
I hope this shows what can happen when you put your
trust in God and step forward in faith.

We need your sacrifice - praying out on the sidewalk!  There are many open hours still for Day 1, next Wednesday, Sept. 26.  Let's get off to a great start by filling the open hours: 11am through 9pm.

Visit http://vigilforlife.org/calendar/monthview to sign-up or contact info@vigilforlife.org.
