"Our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens..." (Ephesians 6: 12-13)
Where are we today in this struggle? Are we making any headway... in our battle with the culture of death? Do we care enough to make time in our schedule to pray and witness for life out in the trenches? Or are we becoming apathetic, indifferent, desensitized?
40 Days for Life has ended...we accomplished a lot!
In Madison this fall there were 2 babies saved from abortion (that we KNOW of!).
Internationally, 476 lives were saved for a total of 8,012 since the campaign began in 2007. Again, these are the ones we KNOW of! So, yes, we ARE making headway and, in God's time, we will win. However...it is incumbent upon us to do all we can in the fight.
"When you have done all you have been commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.'" (Luke 17: 7-10)
We are obliged to keep going in our 365 for Life campaign going on now! But apathy is settling in again. OUT OF SIGHT...OUT OF MIND... it seems that we are falling into Satan's trap, finding excuses to not go out to Planned Parenthood where abortions continue throughout the year and contraception is handed out like candy at Halloween, while mothers are lied to about abortion being "the solution to their problem" and our kids, poisoned psychologically and physically:
- I did my part; it's over for another year.
- I can sit back now and relax.
- It's getting colder and, besides, I just don't have the time to spend an hour out there.
- I'm too busy; somebody else will do it.
We are called upon to be warriors, to protect and defend the innocent victims!
"Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground." (Eph 6:12-13) In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all flaming arrows of the evil one. (Eph 6:16)
