Through your persistent prayer, the loving concern of a prayer warrior, and the excellent services of The Women's Care Center, another baby has been saved! The abortion-minded 16 year-old mother, for whom we requested your prayers, decided that a choice for life was the only choice. Once she and the baby's father saw the ultrasound, they knew they could do nothing other than give birth to their baby. This is great news and should give us all a boost of encouragement as we fight the forces of evil; but we're not done here yet. The prayer warrior will stand by them as they journey through the next months but asks for continued prayers. Next they will decide to either parent their child or give him/her to loving, adoptive parents. In her words, "....pray that God guides their hearts to a path for their baby's upbringing that will bring them comfort, peace, and strength!"
Add to THIS glorious outcome a report of another turnaway from Planned Parenthood last Friday!
It's clear our presence, witnessing and counseling on the sidewalk, is having an effect. If we can all pitch in and stay the course, we will one day see this abortuary closing too, adding one more to the 4 that closed last week. We're entering the second full week of Lent; it's time to reflect on how we're doing. Can I give more? Can I do more?
We need you to sign up for hours, especially recurrent hours, TODAY! Remember, we have added hours on Tuesday (9am to 5pm) and Wednesday (8am to 6pm) in order to have a presence during the hours Planned Parenthood is open.
It's great to stop by and pray when you can, but we really need to know that 2 or more people are signed up and will be there each hour they're open! Last Tuesday I received a call from a man older than Pope Benedict XVI asking me to sign him up for an hour! It brought tears to my eyes to think of the sacrifice this must be for him.
We can all do more.
Below are the open hours this week; please choose an hour or a recurrent hour and save our vigil captains some phone calls!
