Let us prepare ourselves in prayer for the start of 40 Days for Life (in 6 days!), asking for the Holy Spirit to inspire and strengthen us!
Let us pray,
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
Thou in toil art comfort sweet, Pleasant coolness in the heat, solace in the midst of woe.
Come, O Blessed Spirit of Fortitude, uphold my soul in time of trouble and adversity, sustain my efforts after holiness, strengthen my weakness, give me courage against all the assaults of my enemies, that I may never be overcome and separated from Thee, my God and greatest Good. Amen.
You are all invited to attend our kick-off event for 40 Days for Life next Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at St. Peter's Church (5001 N. Sherman Avenue Madison, WI 53704). Join us for fellowship at 5:30 p.m. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Nancy Fredericks, the Madison Surgery Center anethesiologist who put her career on the line to stop the late-term abortion plans there. Deacon Ray Lukesic will lead us in prayer. We will provide a main entree. If possible, please bring a side dish or dessert to pass. We look forward to seeing you there... and bring a friend!
