Baby Saved! /Sidewalk Counseling Training Tomorrow

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Last Friday a mother chose life after her ride to her abortion appointment fell through.  Her friend took her to a crisis pregnancy center instead where counseling and an ultrasound opened her eyes.  Praise God!

This Wednesday evening, Sept. 12th, you will have the opportunity to receive training in how to deal with situations similar to this one.  Come to the Bishop O'Connor Center for Vigil for Life's Sidewalk Counseling Training Session from 6:30 - 8:30pm (702 High Point Road, Madison, WI 53719).  Learn how to be an effective sidewalk counselor and show the men and women going into Planned Parenthood the truth about abortion and contraceptives.  There ARE resources available for them, just across the street!  It's not too late to sign up for this session!  The fee is only $10.00!  You can register at the door and scholarships are available.

The training panel will include Will Goodman and Jen Dunnett from the Servants of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mary Mead from Rachel's Vineyard, and Steve and Laura Karlen from ProLife WI and Vigil for Life.  Attend and learn the important role of a sidewalk counselor in time for 40 Days for Life!

40 Days for Life Volunteer Leaders
For our upcoming campaign, Bette Weisshaar will be overseeing 40 Days for Life as the campaign director. There are some other key leaders to whom we are so grateful.  We want you to know their names in case you get a phone call or e-mail from them.  Please respond to them if you get contacted!

Mary Markielewski is the vigil coordinator. She will be watching the online calendar closely throughout the campaign and assisting our 7 vigil captains (and 6 vigil captain assistants) in filling last-minute hours. If an  urgent hours e-mail is sent out, please respond right away! Those e-mails mean that we are struggling with our campaign and need a boost!

Judy Hoffman is the church coordinator. Judy will be seeing that 40 Days for Life's message is getting out in the community. You can help her by promoting 40 Days at your church or with your organization. Email info@vigilforlife.org to be put in contact with Judy.

Amy Lang is coordinating all the calls to past 40 Days for Life participants. It is important that we call you to invite you back to participate in the campaign: you are our base of support upon which we can build momentum and bring new people into the Vigil for Life "family."  If you can help Amy with phone calling, please email  info@vigilforlife.org.

Del Teeter is the events coordinator, putting together the kick-off, midpoint and closing events. These events are essential for growing the campaign, offering more opportunities to build the culture of LIFE. You can help us grow our campaign by attending these events and inviting others to attend with you.

A heartfelt "thank-you" to these volunteers for their sacrifices for the success of 40 Days for Life - all glory to God!
