Help! - Hours to Fill and Courtesy Announcements

We are almost to the end of our first week of 40 Days for Life and I want to thank you for saying yes when our vigil captains call.  By God's grace and with your sacrifices, we have been able to start off 40 Days for Life strong. But, we're going to need your help as the week goes on. We have the following needs:

Today (10/01/12):  2 people needed at 6:00pm, last minute emergency!

Tuesday (10/02/12):  1 person needed at 8:00am, 1 person needed at 4:00pm!


Wednesday (10/03/12): 75% filled - 13 hours are open!

Thursday (10/04/12): 1 person needed at 6:00am!

If you receive a call or message from a vigil captain or vigil coordinator, it means that we are in a crunch to fill hours. Please sign-up NOW to give our vigil captains a rest!

• Rosary Rally: This Thursday 7:00pm State St. steps of the Capitol. There are only 5 more Thursdays to join us!  We need you, family, and friends to bundle up and come pray with us.

•  Pro - Life Training Academy:  Tomorrow night, Tuesday, Oct. 2, the Pro-Life Training Academy will be offering their pro-life apologetics training class.  Learn how to articulate and respectfully defend the pro-life position.  Learn the facts, learn to answer the tough questions, and be confident, even in a hostile setting.

Prayer Intention for today:  That knowing the shortness of life, all may value it more deeply. 

Let us pray,

O God, we too often try to live in ways that ignore our coming death. We forget that our days are numbered by You, that at the end of our days your judgment awaits, that You are the Lord of our destiny.  Help us to repent daily, and then to live each day in joyful obedience. Lead us to live in the light and promise of eternity.  Prepare us to live fully and sacrificially.  Prepare us to die faithfully and hopefully, so that we might live forever with You. Through Jesus Christ, who has gone before us, we trust and hope and love and pray. Amen.
